I am in the process of replacing my radiator on 1994 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L. The last hose to remove is the tranmission cooling hose and I do no know how to properly remove it. On the replacement radiator, there is a stop on the the tube attached to the radiator. The existing hose has a fitting which will spin. I attempted to pull the hose off but it did not come off with reasonable effort. I am afraid the pull it harder without knowing that this the proper way of removing it.

You'll need to get a nifty little plastic tool, available at NAPA, that will allow you to disengage the "quick disconnect" fitting that is giving you fits. The tool fits around the line and then you push it into the wide fitting. This will disengage the 3 or 4 tangs holding the lines together; simply pull the lines apart.
