Good thing 3rd gens have sooooo much room to play with. But with the headers on, some of the plugs are impossible to reach with regular tools. I made the mistake of tighting the headers bolts after the motor ran for a awhile... lets just saw i gots some weird tattoo's for free.

Alright, I hope thats an actual helpful link there, Kasey because its blocked from these computers at school, so means I have to check it out at home.
Also I miss my 3rd gen's engine space.. except trying to reach the spark plugs on the passenger side.. for some odd reason they decided to shove everything on that side.

Rally, do you have a/c? If so, thats why it's so hard. That big ass a/c box pretty blocks off plug 6 and 8 on the V8's. I grabbed a slegdehammer and fixed that problem.

his problem is wrong wheel drive = sideways engine = half of his plugs against the firewall

I was referring to his 3rd gen. I watched my pops changed some the intake manifold gasket on a ford winstar. Good thing he didn't have to change the plugs, because that looked impossible without taking the motor out.

nah... they just dont put workability on the top of their design list.... they go more for how the car will function.... they could give a shit less how many pints of blood you are going to be going through trying to fix something later on....

I remember when i busted my knuckle on the ac compressor. The belt was loose, so i was tighten the bolt with ratchet that happened to be one size off. I thought it was gripped really good, so i put full strength into it. Shit slipped and my knuckle was leaking blood out it. Never did that before. Still have the damn scar. It fun wreching though, nonetheless. Ever get battery acid corrode (when it's all cruddy and dried) in your eye? That shit really burns man, good thing I did not get a lot of it in there, would have been in the hospital.

lol that sucks!! that would hurt like a bitch. lol i should have taking a pic of my hands when i was done with my engine swap. they had so many cuts and stuff. and one of my finger nails was all busted in half with dried blod up under nail. it took 4 months for it to grow out. just like 2 days ago i cut the last of the nail with dried blood off. now theres like a permanent lump in my pinky where it got smashed. btw link i have ruined 2 pais of clothes with battery acid. it dosnt effect the clothes till they go into the wash. they came out and i was like ummmm wtf mate?

I had to take the jack stands off and I needed to put the weight on the jack but I didn't have the jack handle around, but had a chisel, it was a little too big for the opening but I wedged it ,so I went to jack it twice and on the second one the chisel came flying out and my thumb contacted something sharp cause the tip came right off. I nearly passed out, I grabbed a rag and laid down right there for like 45 minutes and no Kasey, a hammer was not involved, I'm not that dumb :loser:

Thinking about it, one of the worse things I have done to myself working on a car was moving a jackstand.
I didn't realize the way I was holding it, and the jackstand was extended. No weight on it though.
I lowered the stand part....forgetting that my hand was there. Nailed me right in between my thumb and pointer finger in that little flap of skin. That hurt. Stopped bleeding after a couple hours.

Alright now I got pictures.. first is of my Camaro.. and just look at how everything is on the passenger side! Its freaking hard to get into..
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6050/dscf00160yr.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Now there is something I can move out of the way because the asshole who had it before me, bought a part from the junkyard and he weilded it on to the part that you're suppost to use SCREWS for. So I used something else to hold it in together..
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/8732/dscf001611fg.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
The part is what is the pointer is pointing to, its secure there but I can pull it out if I want to.
Now here's a picture of my Monte's engine, the pic is blurry but you get the idea, Link.

Also Link what was all the smog stuff? I want to remove that kind of crap too if it will clear engine stuff. Funny thing is that my mom doesnt care what I do to my Camaro, but she wont let me even put exhaust on the Monte, making it not that fun to drive which is really the main reason why I want my Camaro back.
