In Pa it has been raining like carzy for the past few days and today when i got in my car i noticed that the floor mat behind the drivers seat was soaked ! The only thing that i can think of is that there is a line for the sunroof that runs under the carpet and it has a hole in it. Anyone know whats under the carpeting that may cause water to leak in ?? I can't really think of much and i don't have time right now to pull up the carpet.

Check the drains for your sunroof. They may be clogged and it's overflowing into the car. Theres 4 of them and the rears go way back to the rear corners for the car.

im always a few days late posting stuff on threads..anyway i dont have a sun roof but i would check that first and also in my 4dr 91civ i got rearended and my frame is slightly bent well unibody i guess but whatever. but the moral of the story is the floor board of my back seating area gets wet so i guess check and make sure your door jams line up correctly but it costs a pritty penny to get the frame lined up like 300+ so..
thats my 2 cents worth (i think i got that from some one on here?)

Same thing happened to me.
I cleaned out my drain's but i noticed still in heavy rain it still leaks.
My solution?? I backed into my driveway so the front of my car sloped downward.. That seemed to solve the problem.

Well today i tore apart the rear part of my interior. I promised myself to find and fix that dam leak if i have to tare apart the whole interior. AS for now i park like you said on a slope with the front end pointing down.

Well if you've cleaned all 4 drains (at the spots where they dump outside the car not up in the sunroof area) Check the sunroof seal itself sometimes those have been known to go bad. Also crank your roof back, stick your head up there with a flashlight and arm youself with one of those little fuzzy pipecleaners. You never know what you may find, hope it helps

And yes i've been though this before...It held so much one day when it dumped out (some on me, some on my seat) the rest sat back in the foot area right behind the drivers seat...the water was almost 2 inches deep  lol i'll NEVER forget that day.

Are teh drains that run to the back of the car one long piece or are they two pieces connected together. I'm thinking maybe the tube is a two piece and it's disconnected somewhere ??

you might be leaking from the floor up and not the roof down, you could have a rust hole under the carpet and its splashing up, check that too.

whoever had my car before me obviously got rear ended, but never reported it or got it fixed, so my trunk on my 4door leaks water now. My tail lights are also screwed up. I took of the side lenses and cleaned them out and replaced the gasket, so they don't leak anymore, but my center piece is slightly warped somehow, and water gets in behind it. Does anyone know how to take out the center piece on a 4door trunk? I unscrew all of the nuts, but there is some sort of clamp in the middle that i cannot budge.
