2000 Explorer Computer Module/Keyless Entry

I just purchased a 2000 Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. The truck is great and has keyless entry. According to the owner's manual, the factor reset code for the keyless entry is supposed to be in the owners manual or taped to the side of the computer module. WHERE is the computer module? I have removed the passenger side 'kick panel' and there isnt one inside there. The local FORD dealer said they can read the code plug and tell me what the factor code is for the keyless entry but they want $100 to do so!!!!

Can anyone tell me SPECIFICALLY where the computer module is SUPPOSED to be, or is there a blanket reset code for these things? I want to reset the keyless entry so that I can put in my OWN code.

Believe its on top of the left or right rear wheel well - search this site, I think the question has been answered many times - should be the same for a 99 or 98

on 2000 navigator it is located under the driver side dash on the top offset side of the steering column.
