Here are some pictures of my nearly complete Celsior. Let me know what you guys think! It has an adjustable suspension and an openable trunk!

Did those BBS LM rims come in the kit? They look fab-u-lus!
(The rest of the car is pretty choice too! ;))

The kit comes with an adjustable suspension and openable trunk. I didn't do that myself. The BBS wheels I got off the older LS400 model. I put some Wald rims on the older LS to make it look like my friend's Wald Lexus. And of course, the Soarer is a copy of my car :)
The newer LS is not modeled after anybody's car. I got it cuz I like it...looks so pimpy!

IF you really want it - i think the camber on the wheels (especially the front wheel on the 1st picture...) looks quite strange... maybe it's just me or something..

are there two small holes in the front bumper?
If you're not planning to fit the license plate, those should be filled up.
And about that front wheel camber...

Thanks guys.
Actually, I did the camber on purpose. It's because a lot of the VIP cars in Japan have wild camber settings. Plus, I wanted to slam the car. If I raise it up a little, the wheels would straighten up. But I tucked the wheels in the fenders...that's why it's like that.
And I will put the license plates on.
Thanks though...let me know if there's anything else :) I want to improve.
I'm actually going to build a stereo system for the trunk...as well as a little nitrous bottle...hehehe
Oh yeah, what's the best way to paint that chrome strip around the car? I masked it off and painted with a brush, but I still messed up a little...

i read this somewhere... you can lightly score a line with an exacto knife. It'll keep the paint in it's place.
never tried it myself, so tell me if it works.

Howiedoit,
Like Jay said, use Bare metal foil. Its about 5 bucks a sheet. Cut out very thin strips -about the size you want trim and apply it. You must be EXTREMELY careful because BMF is very, very delicate. You'll also need brand new #11 exacto blades to cut. You can use Cotton swabs to rub it down and at the same time it gives it a little polish. Well, enough here. The instructions that come with the BMF tells you in detail what to do. -Walter

Speaking of BMF, anyone have any tips on removing it from its backing? I can't do it without crinkling the edges. Maybe a #11 would work but it'd be too easy to tear it.

I think you will be best served by HLJ, 1999 and Ebay...

Where can I buy model cars online?
One of the favorite places to buy is Hobby Link Japan, available at www.hlj.com. They have a superb live database site which has pictures and a clear and concise ‘in stock’ display. The kits are incredibly cheap, but once postage is added you will pay close to local prices! You will get a good selection and it is a fantastic place for accessories. Worldwide postage is slow, and it often takes a week just for the parts to leave Japan, so think ahead when ordering! I usually receive items within a 5 weeks, 6 if you go for the cheaper surface mail option.
A new and up coming company is Media Mix Hobby, who have a fantastic Race Car accessory list and carry many items in stock. Postage is as fast as they get and once again you can view a live database. Available at http://asiapac.worldpay.com/cnb/shop/mediamixhobby tell Wong that you are from Automotive Forums and he will treat you extra nice!!!
Local to the United Kingdom is Grand Prix models, available at www.grandprixmodels.com. It also has a live database but without the pictures. Very fast postage service if the items are in stock, but order out of stock items at your risk!
Another site is www.1999.co.jp. They tend to be slightly cheaper than HLJ and their site has more info on kits, including scans of the instuction sheets and pictures of the box contents.
Others include:
www.modelcarkits.com
www.towerhobbies.com
www.ehobbies.com
www.replicarz.com
www.legendshobbies.com
And, of course, the infamous Ebay (www.ebay.com)! Look in the Toys & Hobbies > Hobbies & Crafts > Models > Automotive category (http://listings.ebay.com/aw/plistings/list/category2580/index.html), but don't forget to search all of Ebay for items that may be mis-filed.
Where can I find more websites about models and online model retailers?
MODELCARLIST Plastic Model Resource Page (http://www.rocketfin.com/partslinks.html) is a great place to start. Then, go to the International List of Scale Model Related Web Sites (http://scalemodel.net/). Last, try www.google.com.
