So last nite I was cruising around. It was me, my boy in the MX6, my guy in the STi (pictured left), a dude in a 97 talon esi, grand prix, and a sunfire was all there. At the end of the nite, it was jsut me, the other talon, and the STi. We decided to get some food, then made a bet. $5 for both the talons. We decided to head out to this place known for racing, but I've never really been. So, we drive out there, only about 4 miles away. The STi was staying behind us.

So, we go back in the factories, and find a nice long empty road. We line up, and call the sti besides us. We tell him to go to the end to look for 5 0, but he decided to leave. So, its 2 talons, sitting side-by-side on an empty road back in the factories. Im on the right side. We're waiting, just talking back and forth, and I happen to look behind, and there's a chicago squad sitting on our ass. I say "cop" and start driving forward. The other guy starts driving too. The cop follows and turns on his lights. He pulls over, and so do I, but Im far ahead already. The cops get out to talk to the talon, and I just take off. Im scared, looking in my mirror.

So, I pass by some other people standing around, and I yell, "COPS!" and they go taking off. The other cars coming toward them, I just wave them on. There was traffic. I'm heading home, and I have to make a kinda loop around. Im far down the block, thinking Im good, and a cop car pulls out from a side street in front of me, about 3 blocks up, sees me, and make a U-turn, and sits on my ass. Im driving normal, no radio on, windows closed, just trying to relax. He rode my ass for awhile, but with no lights or anything. He then makes another U-turn, going back in the way he was originally heading, and turns on his lights and pulls over. I then took side streets home.

Can anything happen? Can they like send me a ticket or anything? We werent racing. No proof there. Can they do anything? Thanks. Im still scared.

LMAO dude you better hope he didnt get a good look at your plates. Even if you weren't racing, he did pull you over, and you just fled. That means you did do something wrong, evading police. Most likely nothing will happen, as long as the other guy didn't rat you out or anything and tell them your name or where you live or anything like that. Why the hell did you leave anyways? You said so yourself, you didn't do anything wrong yet.

09-24-2005, 01:19 PM
The other guy doesnt know where I live or anything. No phone number neither. I didnt race off, I just drove away. All I seen was the lights go on and he pulled over the other dude. I supposed he could have pulled me over when I was leaving, or when he did the U-turn, but he didn't. He had every oppertunity to get me. He could have even called on his blow-horn thing for me to stop and wait, but nothing. So, technically, the cop pulled the other dude over, no me. I'm never street racing again, or cruising. Tonite when Im coming back from work, I know the same cop is goig to be out. Im taking the side-streets home.

I bet you feel like such a bad ass haha. Cops in my city are just assholes, they ALWAYS follow my car, no lights or sirens, they just follow me for a good 7 minutes.. yes, 7 minutes. I find this so creepy.. almost stalkerish, but I have a clean record so there's not much to worry about. I've never raced before, nor do I ever intend to. So much can go wrong.

They didn't need plates to come to my house and throw my ass in jail! I left that county mounty miles behind (84 crown vic vs. formula lt1 6spd ; ) Anyway I think someone listening to the scanner ratted me out. They came straight to my house and I got cuffed and stuffed with a felony fleeing. No license number or anything, just that gi-normous NO FEAR sticker on the back (that was 1995). The charges were dropped for lack of evidence, but I still spent 4 days in felony D-block. Maybe you have nothing to worry about though.

Yeah you have nothing to worry about man.I wouldnt worry. I've been in some interesting spots and I know lots of people that have been in LOTS of sticky situations, and I dont think they can get you in trouble if they didnt pull you over. If you were just talking and not racing, I doubt they can stick you with anything, even if you were the one that got pulled over. I know what you mean though, cops just following you. I pulled out of my cull-de-sac street thing right after a state trooper passed. He turned around and followed me all the way to my friends house like 10 miles away! His house is on a long driveway with like 6 houses at the end, I stopped after about 40 feet when I was into trees and just watched, sure enough he turned back around. I dont have any idea wtf happened, but I have been just randomly followed/had lights flickered at me, I wouldnt worry about it.

Similar thing happend to me a couple of weeks ago. I was racing in the city at about 3am. We were racing on a normal street but there werent any cars. A mile down the road the light hit red and the guy lined up with me again. I was gonna go again but then I see a cop out of nowhere standing behind his car. He pulled over and I continued driving really slowly down the read. The cop screamed out of this loud speakers they have " Pull over now" so i just pulled over. When he got out of his car and went to the guy I was racing I floored the Eclipse all the way home. Never got any ticket :)

This really has nothing to do with this thread, but I was with some people and we were going to different parties tonight, and I swear I saw atleast 6 cops just from walking party-to-party. One of them actually stopped and started to talk to us to see if we had been drinking, fortunately that was when we were on our way to the second party, and nobody was really that bad yet. But it just kinda proves the point that the cops really have nothing to do but hassle us. Sorry if i kinda hijacked your thread lol.

The other dude couldnt rat me out... he dont have my phone number or address or anything. Hell, I dont even think he knows my name (I go by nicknames around here). I;ve been driving good the last couple days. Well, decent at least. :-) I'm good now though. No more racing. Oh, the other dude and his 2 passengers were kinda blown too. I wasnt.

I had a funny situation a couple of years ago. I was on Avenue P in Newark NJ. Its an industrial area that is always filled with people street racing. I was driving a 85 camaro Z28 and my buddy had a 88 LX 5.0. The street was deserted and we were sitting on the side of the road just talking. I look back and there is a Newark Cop just sitting there smoking a cigarette leaning on the side of his car. He must have been there a couple of minutes and when we looked over he started walking over. He asked us a couple of the usual questions and then told us he wanted to race. He had a new squad car with the LT1 in it. I didn't know what to think. I was afraid he would wait for us to get up to speed and then put his cherries on and screw both of us. He told us he just wanted to know what the car could do. In his words he said he just wanted to run the bitch out. So we lined up. My car was stock and so was the mustang. Both automatic. He smoked me by about 2 car lengths. (85 camaro 5.0 carb=slow stock) Then he took my friend in the mustang by about a half car length. After we were done we BS'd with him for about 15 minutes and he shook our hands and took off. Weird

All cops... Thats a very bold statement. I'm sure you have confirmed that with everysingle cop in the country right.. Right. Most cops just want to go home safe everynight and retire after 20 years and I'm pretty positive they don't view streetracers in the same light as they do rapist's and strong armed robbers. I haven't street raced in years. I go to moroso motorsports park when I want to race. Yall

I was told I was "under arrest" by a cop one night for being on public property after curfew. Yeah and it was 7 minutes past curfew. I ended up sitting in the back of the cop car for 45+ minutes then getting a 150 dollar fine. I'm sorry but I hate my local cops. I doubt you will get in any trouble...if the cop was going to do something he would of pulled you over and had it done and over with. He probably just ran your tags and plate number to make sure it wasn't stolen or expired. Basically he was probably trying to find an excuse to pull you over but he didn't :) . Cops where I live do that all the time. My brother(92 camero) got pulled over for wreckless driving after pulling out of a drive way and driving for about 30 feet. Yeah I dunno maybe he signled to fast or something...wtf

Well Y'all,
I am picking up some sarcasm from our friend here, and just wanted him to know that we don't ALL street race here. Nor do we all HATE the police.
I haven't street raced in 10 years or more. That isn't what the thread was about. The cops are doing their jobs. Our cars are suspect for a good reason. We all known why we bought sports cars..... to go fast. Anyway if you aren't in jail by now you are OK.

I ran into the dude in the talon today coming home from work. He said he got 5 tickets, all non-moving violations. One for no seatbelt, no license plate in front, trespassing, and some other things too. I forgot. It came to over $100. He said he would have done the same that I did. He didn't say anything about me to the cops.

When he said this, I was thinking, it takes time to write 5 tickets. There was no way that the cop that came out and followed me was the same one. They may have called ahead to some other unit to find me. But, the unit that seen me, didnt pull me over. It doesnt matter, its all good for me!

The school systems down here are horrible and most kids in the suburbs here for some reason are convinced that they are ghetto. Even though they are just rich kids with a poor education. In West Virginia if you get pulled for street racing you lose your license for one year and get a pretty heftty fine. Also if you are a passenger in the car they can give you the same ticket

I dont hate police because they bust people while they race... after all it is against the law. I hate some cops because I get followed and pulled over for no god damn reason. I've been followed countless times and 4-5 of them were for more than 5 minutes with some fucking cop riding my ass. One time, I was damn near stopped (<15 mph) in a left turn lane with two lanes of traffic to the right of me. Some cop gets into my view while he was making a right while I was at 15 mph and whips around behind me. He pulls me over in the middle of rush hour traffic and tells me I was going 48 in a 30. I dont know how he fuckin clocked me a 48 when I was rolling up to the car ahead of me, or how he clocked me while he was going around a corner. I got out of it with no ticket though, so its all good.

Out here we have cameras in out streetlights that take a picture of your plate when you run them. they send you those tickets in the mail. But I don't think they would mail you a ticket because the only way they would have pictures is from the dash cam in the cop car and for 100 dollars in tickets doubtfull that they would go through all the trouble.

They got the cameras on street lights here too. Same with the tollroads. If you go through a IPass lane without the iPass thingy, they send you a color photo of your car going thru, and a fine equaling the toll. Color photo, on gloss paper, and mailed out. Cost more than the damn toll

Where the hell do you get off saying that teen girls already have 2 kids by the time they are 17? You are an idiot. Sure there are SOME bad areas. I think every state has its issues. Oh and I don't know if anyone else has realized this but... I am a senior at my high school and most the freshmen this year are more immature than ever. All they want to do is fight and act like gangsters. It's funny because I live in pretty much the middle of hickville where I pass 3 different farms on the way to school.

Well its been a week and nothing, so I think Im good. I didnt think they would mail me a ticket. Im playing it safe though. Not cruising or racing for awhile still.

Same here with all that school crap. My HS, right after I graduated, went massively downhill. Gang fights are now everyday. People are getting stabbed and everything. Im glad I got out when I did. Also, it seems like most kids now, like freshmens, are immature. They try to be cool, and then play a hard-ass. I blame it on the food. You see these kids and they're all past puberty, all 6+ feet tall and 300+ pounds. The girl are all 'grown out' and being slutty to be cool. It's the government.

And, I live in Chicago. Chicago is infamously known for their crappy schools, segregated communities, and gangs all around. Im in the 'better' part of town, but my old HS is 3 blocks away. It doesn't matter where's it at. It's all over now.

I remember back when I was a senior a couple of years ago, it was a daily event to see some kid between the ages of 12-16 try to fight a fellow senior. They act like they have something to prove cause the government bans almost all forms of disapline so they think that they can get away with anything. Cause you all know what the higher authority will say when they catch wind that some senior pushed some 14 year old when he was standing in the lunch line, what they'll say is "that senior is not mature enough to graduate" and they'll do everything they can to make there lives miserable, by removing all senior privaleges, and so on. So your right kids these days are getting really bad with there bad ass ways and me being 300 pounds and 6'2" I caught shit from the same little shits that have yet to hit puberty. I just don't get it.

It's the hormones in the chicken man! Damn 14 year old girls with D cups everywhere. They didn't look like that when I graduated school back in 1992.
Is this thread ever going to die? : ^ )

Nope. This thread won't die. It went from running from THE MAN, to being scared of THE MAN, to hating against THE MAN, and how he holds us back.

Ok, maybe the thread isnt about it, but look how popular it is! lol.

Seriously though, where I work, I get a bunch of hotties walking in. Im a salesman, so I have to go up and talk to them, (not that I wouldnt do it anyway). But, I swear to god, they look 20, but then I find out they're only like 14. I'm 20, so that causes a little problem. There was one party once where I almost got with this one girl. Looked older than me at the time. Turned out, she was in 8th grade!!!! Good thing I didnt have rubbers! I mean she was fine, but no way in hell!!

I live in West Palm, and I don't know what you are talking about. Boca is supposed to be one of the best areas in all of south Florida. Where the hell do you get off saying that teen girls already have 2 kids by the time they are 17? You are an idiot. Sure there are SOME bad areas. But go around the whole country and you will find that. If you don't like it, then leave Florida.
I have a question were you born and raised in Florida? If you were chances are you have already knocked up a minor and are probably dating one now. Maybe that's why you got so insulted. And as far as calling me an idiot that just show's how ignorant you Floridians are. I could understand if you called me an asshole because of my statements but calling me an idiot is insulting my intelligence which you have no knowledge of. If you have an issue with me why don't you take it up with me in person? You live close by, just stop by the Bar that I'm a bouncer at. It's called Kiss shots in Coral springs. Here I'll make it easy for you here is a picture of me working therehttp://pictures.match.com/pictures/52/49/34145249D.jpeg
I plan on leaving Florida just as soon as I finish making money here. I own two businesses down here a car dealership and Private investigations firm. It's amazing how an idiot like me can manage to run two businesses right? And I work at night as a bouncer for a pathetic wage of 75 dollars a night just so I can knock can still knock the shit out of punk Florida trash like you.

Hey what the law in the states about girls and age ? If they are under 18 you cant have a sexual relationship or what ? I heard somewhere a guy got a few years in prison because his underaged girlfriend framed him for raping her after they broke up or something like that. Wow I should get life in prison if I go by these rules :) hahaha.

You need the consent of the girl, and I believe the parents if she is a minor. If they break up, she can say that she never gave her consent, and bam, he's busted for rape. You need a lawyer to get involved if your going to be with a minor. It's complicated. If anyone plans on doing that, MAKE SURE SHE SIGNS A CONTRACT! lol, but sad.

It is all in the laws though.
