91 Prizm door lock stuck

Hi,

The driver's door lock is stuck down on my 91 prizm sedan. It is a manual lock. I can't turn it up with the key or pull it up from inside. It is just stuck down hard. It was working before, though a bit hard. I tried spraying wd40 into it, hoping (unlikely hope) that something might loosen, but no luck overnight.

Is there a way to fix this thing? Can anyone give me a tip on it?l

Did you come up with a fix for the door, short of replacing the cylinder? I have the same problem on my 95-Drivers Side. Dealer tells me a newly-cut factory key might work.
