i know u guys havent heard from my fat face in awhile....haha had some serious thinkiin to do, ive decided to keep the car, i think ima send it in to atkins for a complete rebuild and possibly a street port, but heres my question, is there anywhere here in/by ohio to send it to?i mean idd love to send it to atkins. but im sure its gonna be pricy.FDTT im thinkin bout drivin it down to you, caz ur price is im sure gonna beat atkins, i juss need a rebuild and a port possibly, maybe a turbo rebuild? or if u have a bigger turbo layin around maybe throw it on, now... if i go with a bigger turbo what all am i gonna need.... to keep the back rotor housing from warping from runnin lean? FDTT do ur calculating and come up with a for sure price, im willing to bring the whole car to YOU,have u look it over, and rebuild, gemme a for sure price.please

thanks

i would check to see if there are some forums for your area that know anything about rotaries, also call up some shops and see if they do it, or if they know anyone that does.

I cant give a solid quote for one of my motors. If i build it my way then it wont be cheaper than the Atkins but i can guarantee that it will be better.

Price depends on MANY things.
Do you want new everything on there? Do you want to reuse some parts from the old motor? Do you want me to use as much as i can from the old motor ont he new one?
With a new turbo on there it will cost alot more than just a build. Dependong ont he turbo. I generaly upgrade to a 60-1 and external wastegate. I would also recomend you look into upgrading your fuel system and or replacing ALL old fuel components with OEM or better stuff.

With an FC it really depends ont he condition of the car because i wont just dump a motor in a shell that i know will fall to crap and be potentialy dangerious. IF it comes to that and i have the car but they dont want to spend the money then i send it to another local guy who does hack job shit but will do it for the cash.

well id like to reuse anything on there that i can that doesnt HAVE to be replaced, and as far as the fuel system, i have no idea what to do do it/with it. thats why i asked what i could do, the car is in good shape, theres no rust under the car, its nice n sterdy. but ill prolly juss have to bring it to you, and have u look at it,tell me what ya think u could do, but. im not stupid, i aint gonna let u get me like the dealerships try to.... u need to replace this...even tho it isnt broke, im juss gettin more money out of you, haha.... i dont swing like that.... i liike a nice honest person.... which you DO seem to be. thats why im considering u so much.where exactly in canada are you? road name and address.... ill keep in touch with u and let u know in advance when ill be coming... first i gotta come up with the money...lol. could be easy or could be hard.. dunna yet. thanks man

Dont worrie i dont try to rip people off. I dont really do alot of busisness with local folk. Im more into road racing people. Cause they are the ones that have the $ to spend and do it rights.

Im located in Vancouver Canada. Not to far from the boarder.

What you can do has a direct relation to how much you have to spend :P

well the guy i got it off of, he worked out a payment plan for the payments of the car, i was tellin him about it, and he said he would finance the rebuild.... so let me talk to him and see what he wants to do. prolly around 2 grand or so?? im guessin. for the basic rebuild?

FDTT
09-26-2005, 12:20 AM
2 grand will get you a factory ported stock rebuilt using almost everything off the old motor.

badassfocus1101
09-26-2005, 12:33 AM
well estimate me a basic rebuild from u, usin as much parts as u can from the old engine, no porting... no turbo rebuild, juss strictly engine. juss a ruff estimate

FDTT
09-26-2005, 01:33 AM
i will do that in the morning, see what parts i will have to use. It may be cheaper for you to give me the old one and i give you a rebuilt one.

09-29-2005, 10:45 PM
o, well ok.... well how much would u charge me if i gave u the old engine, and bought a rebuilt on off of you... but i want the same motor i got, out of an 87 TII, if u got one from same car but with coouple mods.....gemme price on that too...caz buyin a rebuilt on actually sounds a lil easier/better...lol

FDTT

The price of the motor is actualy quite cheap.

Its $3355.40 USD out the door.

No you dont need anything else to make the motor work. You have a brand new wiring harness, brand new 720's, New housings ect ect.

This motor will LAST.

FDTT
10-03-2005, 11:04 PM
Yes i could install it, thats would be another 800ish dollars (that includes getting it tuned on the dyno with the SAFC/ which i enclude with the motor)

The BOV will cause rich running between shifts, but hardly noticable, (it comes with the recirculation adapter if you decide you want to dump back into the intake and not have it run rich)

badassfocus1101
10-05-2005, 12:35 AM
ok so im lookin at 4600 bucks american...to have u install it? but how long woulfd it take?

FDTT
10-05-2005, 01:47 PM
Install, about a day. Then tune it all up the next day. That is if there are no suprises witht he old motor and such.

badassfocus1101
10-06-2005, 01:03 AM
ok so with the motor,u install for estimated 800.... the total is.....$4,155.40... how bout 4 grand flat?

what all does ur dyno tune consist of?
and exactly what is the 60-1 turbo?lol
i havent got to talk to the guy yet, cant get ahold of him, but im sure he will go for it. would u like check, card or cash? upfront? pay as go? or when finished?

FDTT
10-06-2005, 02:53 AM
its an S5 turbo, with a 60 trim cold wheel on there. Basicly a bigger wheel to make more power with :P

$4035.40+tax.
The tunning consists of a series of pulls on the rollers and tunning of the A/F ratios, fuel pressure, ect ect.
Then a final run on the street to insure that the tuning is working how i want it to.

badassfocus1101
10-06-2005, 03:45 PM
how much is ur tax there?
sorry for all the trouble, i know i sound like im like 4 years old, im juss tryin to come up with a close estimate so i know what to tell this guy, i dont wanna tell him 4 grand and it be 4800 or sumthin yua know? lol

badassfocus1101
10-06-2005, 03:46 PM

FDTT
10-06-2005, 03:57 PM
$4600.36 with tax's and such. There may be a few othere minor costs that arent factord in there. But the price will be very close to that.

4300 buck to install and test/tune a fresh rebuild. Is that canadian or american? As if you've got a better price then what I can get, I might just have to employ your services.
