To undercoat....or not to undercoat?

I'm going to be taking my truck back to the dealership to get the spray-in bedliner done and have my Corsa cat-back installed. My question is: Is an undercoating still worthwhile?

Ya, it helps and is worth the money

I would say its worth it, I sometimes wish I had my truck undercoated. I would probably be more proactive if I still lived in the salt belt. my dad had his 92 undercoated and never had any problems with undercarriage rust.

NBS trucks all have undercoating on them. It's sort of a waxy type substance. Gasoline will dissolve it, which I found out while changing my fuel filter. More undercoating might be good

Read your warrenty, doesn't it say something about undercoating will void it??? If it is put on by the dealer have them verify and warrenty what they do.

I would think the '07's wouldn't show up for nearly a year

Make sure you find a reputable shop. I see more undercoat jobs than not come through that are shoddily done, put on so thin and patchy. Guess, a lot of these outfits figure most people will never look under their trucks.

My dads 92 was done at the dealer, and still covered under the warranty, Im not sure about the warranty thing on the NBS trucks but thats the first ive ever heard that underbody protecting would void your warranty. Now I would have to see if that affects my extended warranty.
