Dashboard - radio install/remove help

Hi, I have a generic radio in the dashboard of a generic car... I know that the radio is in a slide case. I put a 5 inch blade on the top and bottom to move the pins/locks and then grabbed the side to try and pull out and the darn thing will just not move.

I tried to shove a screwdriver in the sides to get push back the tabs and had no luck.

The dashboard is a BMW 325i and is one solid piece, I am under the radio trim and have no clue what to try next.
