Whenever I look on Ebay for the JDM 1l motors, they only have them listed up to '95. Would they work in a 96/newer if you swapped out the oil pump and whatever else for OBDII?

i think they will work if you swap that out. i believe all the 96 and newer engines had the crank position sensor on the front of the engine
