That is a pretty nice car man. I'd rather put a 340 six pack in it or maybe a 383. But do what you gotta do and have fun. Post some new pics when you get it done.

yea a 340 would be nice but there really hard to find plus if you raise the compresion up on a 360 it will be better than a 340, have more torque, mightt go with a stroker kit eventually, the 383 is too heavy, i can get just as much power out of a 360 and the six packs a too hard to tune, a big 4 barel demon will solve that, i just painted roof i will get new pics on car domain soon

I always liked the early Duster's look. The big bumper in '73 seemed to ruin the look. Nice car!
For the 360, consider a Comp XE cam (they have some good solid/flat tappet versions), Edelbrock Performer RPM "Air Gap", and an AED Holley 750HOM. KILLER combo. Good head work is imperative. 360 heads have the right chamber size for pump gas. Good porting and valve train parts make a huge difference. Comp offers a really good rocker system. I think Mancini also has others available.
Stock rods are up to task if you keep RPM under 7,000 and horsepower under 600. Use as light a piston as your budget will allow. Ross is our choice. The Speed Pro (TRW) forgings are very tough, but quite heavy. Avoid hyper-eutectic castings. Many failures due to ring issues, especially the Kieth Black units. If you ever intend to spray it, forgings are mandetory.

i was planing a a comp cam, i had never picked a a specific one yet though, ive always had good luck with those guys
air gap was in the plan too, keep temps down

i was thinking of a indy cylender head stroker kit, what do you think about the componets that come with that?

im also backing this up with a killer drive train, this got fit some 12.5 inch tire on his a body, ill see what i can fit

That's a fine '72. I got a '70 with the same grill, couldn't find one in the wreckers for a '70.
If you are going to rev any Mopar small block beyond the normal realm of driving check out some manuals regarding oil gallery mods to keep from destroying the last main journals.
These are very good engines inside light vehicles like the duster and darts.
