haha ur a trader and even with a turbo kit on that pos the money u spend on the kit u will still not touch the srt4, so bad idea................also honda has no tourqe so u will never beat a srt4 in a si.........sorry for being the bearer of bad news
and its a claimed 200hp to the crank stock srt4 has 230 to the wheels u will not win if u want some backing go to a honda site.

as stated above, for the money, you cant really compare. hondas are good cars, and the new si will be a pretty cool car, it will weigh about the same as the sartie, and will in no way be faster. even with a turbo kit, your power will be very limited until you build the motor up. at that point, you will still be a half liter smaller than the sartie. the civic is making that kind of power because of its relatively high compression ration, but this means that boosting it wont be a really good idea. stick with what you have, its easy and relatively cheap to get good power out of your srt. trust me on that one

i would stick with the srt4 u can get a stage 2 mopar turbo for 280 hp. the new civic si s are quick claimed 0-60 in 6.8 sec or something like that but its high compression and all high end power, no torque. with a turbo kit you might bareley edge out an srt but the engine wont last long on boost. and the price of an si plus a turbo kit will be more than a srt. and the srt has a better built motor.

6.8 is pretty quick its only a little over a second slower than an srt. so if ur little brother runs that fast u must run as fast as an srt. lol

The new Honda is a cool car, it does appear that Honda has already tuned this engine almost to the max. I think you would have to spend a buttload of money to make it much faster. The CR is too high to put much boost to it, so you would have to start with lowering the CR so you could apply a liberal amount of boost. Because of the VTEC aspects of the engine, you may run into a lot of snags applying a Turbo.

unless you rebuild the civic motor, your never going to make more power out of it than you can out of the srt4. plain and simple

but the civic si has a warranty on it and its new ,,,the srt 4 03 also from a preowned stock of a honda dealor i have to buy as it is...i dont know much about fast cars but the torque of 140 on si and 214 on srt makes a difference?

Why are you choosing between a Neon and a Civic? Nothing against either car, but since you're obviously concerned with speed why not get a sportscar?

This is funny... sorry but neon>civic. I cant even believe you are putting the two on the same playing feild. Everytime people say they are going to "turbo their non turbo-d cars" it never happens. Stay with the srt, if you can find one, make more power with it with simple bolt ons.

dont speak to fast, stock for stock no comparison but you cant nock and all motor honda running 11's...

Dont forget the ka24 is no slouch and can easily be woken up... Any long time srt forums veterans will remember the rsx type s that had bolt ons (intake, full exhaust, pullys, and hondata) that was putting cars on the srt-4.

Dont knock the civic its a good car, but yes you are gonna have to spend alot more money to get that to run fast than you will an srt... Just because its turbo out of the box and responds better to mods than just about any other car around.

There would be some advatages to the si, how ever personally being one to prefer purpose built cars i would stay with the srt-4.

Judging by your post (no-offence) but i think you need to do a lot of research on both cars before you where to even consider this...
