my dad called someone in out area that does gears that is reliable(he worked on my dads jeep) and he wanted $650 to put in ford racing 4.10 gears. isent that way to much? over $400 just to put in gears? i didnt want to spend any more then $700 on my rear end with t-loc

are you in the bay area? i couldn't get mine done for less than 400 and i went to nine different shops.

I guess it could depend on where you're at. Like I said, dad had his done for $200 and that was at a well known performance shop in Tulsa.

Yeah Frito, that's too much. Should be around 200 for gears and around 200 for labor, give or take a buck or two. You'll probably say, duh, but do you work for Frito-Lay?
