What does it take?

Ok this is open to both factual input and opinions from anyone. I was just wondering what it would it take to build a Tib, (2001, i4, 2.0L, 5 spd manual) enough so it stands a chance at taking a Suziki GSX R600 (98 I believe) in a 1/4 mile run. Not gonna be an easy feat, but if it can be done with my Tib, any thoughts or input would be great. And the more technical, the better.
These are the bike's specs if you need them:

Sort of something that I need to do, whether it be in my Tib or another car down the line. My Brother, who passed Aug 2004 for those who are new here, had the GSX R 600, and we were always talkin shit about who was faster, or would turn out faster. I guess for a bit of closure on my part. No other reason really.

u might do it in a skline fully built or a twin turbo supra fully built im talkin ur car is gonna need probly in excess of 600-700hp...the bike is to light and fast for a car to compete. u do not have the car to beat it.. you can always try to stretch the shell over a supra or someting...m/o

Ok, so how would a 300GT VR4, Twin Turbo, V8 block dropped in do ?
Cuz that is the car that we had both decided on to run each other when we started up with this a few years back.

As far as the 1/4 BigTDawg...I have no clue. Never got the chance to see him run.

Cool. Thanx. I know it may sound like a silly pointless goal, but it's kinda something that I have to do even though he wont be there when I succeed.

Well I would love to hop on a GSX R1000 and claim pwning rights, lol. But I promised the Moms a when he wrecked a year ago, that I wouldnt touch a bike. But meh, it may happen sometime down the road, but I know its fairly damn near impossible. Same size engine as my car, 1/10 the weight. :banghead:

the new gsx-r1000 has as much hp as our tibs do, and weighs about a ton less.

theres no point in trying to be faster than bikes. just not gonna happen unless you start getting to the point where you HAVE to have two wheels to put down the power.

I can be done and has. And the man who did it is not extremely wealthy but he was a great fabricator. When sport compact car magazine had their first street car showdown one of the competitiors had a twin engined tiburon that would walk on that bike two engines two trannies one car. You can probably get info on it on www.sportcompactcarweb.com or through back issues.

For $20k, which would probably be cheaper than building your Tib to run that fast, I'll sell you my '69 Camaro (have run a 9.07 1/4), the 24' enclosed trailer, and everything in it, except the tools. The 9.07 was with a 4.56 rear gear, and it has a 4.10 in it now. Had to slow it down, was going through too many transmissions and torque converters with the 4.56 in it. Currently it runs high 9.30s, but put a 4.56 back in and you'll be back in low 9s again. see pics at www.agbulletracing.com

***on a side note, this is not street legal***

Bah. Technicalities. lol. Other than displacement, its running same engine 'set up'. :) Thanks for pointing that out for me tho.
