Horsepower

Does anyone know what the stock horsepower rating was back in 89 for a C1500, 2WD, 5.7L 350 V8 with TBI and 4 speed OD Auto Transmission? Thanks.

If you look near the bottom, you will see that the 5.7 in these years was rated from 200-255 HP and 300-335 TQ. Owning a 90 K1500 since new, I can tell that our years are at 200 (or maybe below it) on the HP, not sure on the torque. The jump in HP was in 96 when they changed to the Vortec and away from TBI.

I bought an '88 K1500 with TBI 350 new and I remember it's rating being at 210 horsepower. My brother bought an '89 and it was the same, although we didn't leave them at stock levels for long.

Thanks. I'm at about 325HP and 375 ft lbs of torque now on the dyno with exhaust, intake, intake manifold, ignition, throttle body, fuel pump and regulator, computer chip modifications and a new transmission and rear end to match. I just never bothered to get a baseline! I'm sure after all these years the baseline fell well below 210, but now I have an idea of how much bolt on HP I did! Thanks again!

what is the Horsepower for a 1992 - 454?

The base HP for that model wih a 454 was 230HP.
