The first place to start is maintenance, get that current then worry about mods. Timing belt, water pump, fluids, filters, adjustments, etc. Buy yourself a factory repair manual www.helminc.com

Intake, header, exhaust is typically the place to start.

There are many "Honda Performance" books out there plus the SEARCH option of this website. Start off with a plan rather than buying a whole bunch of parts that may not get the results your looking for.

Suspension work is where I start. It's a whole lot easier and cheaper to make a slow car handle well than it is to make a slow car fast.

btw, it VTEC not VTECH!
