ok, it is done. What I found was that you must be a contortionist. second and most important are the tools: you must have a 16mm and 18mm stubby wrench, a ratchet with about a 6" to 8" extention, a 13mm socket, a flat tip screwdriver, a 10mm and 21mm box end wrench, pair of pliers and a large crecent wrench.
Removal:
First, you loosen the belt with the crecent off of the tensioner pulley. Second, take the 16mm wrench and disconnect the line from the power steering pump. Third take the 10mm wrench and take off the bracket that holds the two lines together. It is located on the bottom front of the engine. Just follow the line and you will see it. Fourth, go under the car and with the same 10mm wrench, take off the heat shield. Two bolts and scoot it over to the right. Fifth, remove the plastic clamp that holds the lines together there. Sixth, back up top. Remove the air cleaner housing. You can leave the top on, but you will need a ratchet with the extension and a 13mm socket and remove the bottom of the housing. This will allow you to have much needed room to access the high pressure line. Seventh, with your 18mm stubby( or in my case, my ground down personal 18mm stubby because autozone doesn't carry one), and 21mm box end wrench, begin to remove the nut by placing the open end 18mm on the nut and using the box end as a lever bar to get it off. You will then have the beast off and you can feed the line thru where the air filter was.
Putting the new one on:
First, Feed the new line in. Second, place the bracket back on that holds the lines together on the front of the engine(passenger side facing). You may want to take off the resivoir to have more room, again, 10mm and set of pliers, very simple. Third, use the 16mm to screw the line to the pump. It may take a few tries to get the line in-line to thread in correct. Fourth, back under the car. Replace the plastic clamp and the heat shield(again, 10mm, two bolts). Fifth, using all that room you created with the air cleaner housing removed, you should have ample room to access the lower end of the line with an 18mm stubby. You may also want to put down a small towel where the air cleaner housing was due to very ruff edges on the metal(I got cut a few times before I got a brain in my head). It will take some time to get the line in-line with the hole but I found it to be easier than I was making it out to be. Sixth, with the line bolted in, replace the air cleaner housing(and new air cleaner if it was anything like mine). Seventh, replace the resivoir. Eighth, fill that puppy up and have the missus jump in and start it up turning the wheel side to side while you check for leaks. Ninth, have a cold one and tend to your wounds( I have red cuts all over my elbows, forearms, etc.). Hope this helps. Good luck.
