I have a 2004 FX45 with 29500 miles on it. Took it to the dealer, had to replace rear pade. Front fine with over 8mm left (of 11). Rears had less than 3 mm (of 11).

Anyone have this happen? seems awful strange to need to change brake pads after only 29K miles.

Although I do drive like a maniac....

Changed my rear brakes at 37000 miles with 1 to 2 mm's left. I couldn't believe I even had to change them. You can wait to change your brakes until you hear the warning bracket on them squeal. That's what they're for and you'd be suprised how many more thousand miles you can get out of them. But, you have to take care of them right away.
