I don't understand why the Skyline is hard to legalize, granted I KNOW nothing about the skyline really just me and my brother fell in love with it. Talking to my dad about it he dosen't understand why either, he has worked on Japan car's before and he think's they are no differnt from US car's(just his opinion) now he interested in the car. I don't see why nobody else beside's motorex has taken a interest in legalizeing these car's for the US. If you think about it the US could make a lot of money off the Skyline because many people want it including myself.
I'm still looking to TRY to get a Skyline legal in the US but after reading these forum's & ect, I more tempted just to move to Japan. I live in Madison, MO the population is 586 here the next biggest place is Moberly the place mostly contain's farmer's,hick's, and ect. we have one cop here. He probably dosen't know a Skyline for a box of rock's, same thing in moberly the cops there probably wouldnt care or wouldnt knw anything bout the car, and wouldnt pull me over if I had tag's and all that. The best about having a Skyline here that NOBODY has one down here you see civic's,eclipse, vett's, muscle car's, and 05 mustang's. It would just be awesome to race some of these people with these little Civic's (not dissing Civic's or anything) and blow their door's off and take their money, because they got big heads and don't know a real car from a kracker jack box car. That's just my opinion's.

I'ma get me a Skyline damn it :iceslolan

alot of civic owners i know can take vettes, vipers, and other high ends in a drag. dont make so much of a generalization.

its very very very very hard to move to japan and get a permanent residence. ive heard the only real ways are for 1.) work or school. or 2.) military.

the GT-R is a great car.....not the skyline. granted, skylines are pretty good cars for their given purpose, but some of them are slow and boring. its all on how much money you want to spend. but you need to understand thats its just a car. its not a super all powerful machine. there are a ton of cars that you can get that will out perform a skyline stock for stock with the money you spend to get one us legal. hell...you can buy two brand new cars for the price of an r32 gtr.

Nismo Power is correct.

I live in Japan and work in the military. It's a great country, but everything is expensive. You would need a good job just to survive. The military is the easiest way, as the pay isn't bad and they provide a lot of other assistance such as housing, medical, and US food and conveniences.

You could also try to get hired as an English teacher. I'v eknown a few and they really had a ball. Their pay is low, but they make a lot of close Japanese friends. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have already lived on your own (sucessfully), and don't get homesick easy.

Oh yeah, were we talking about skylines? Ah heck, if you make it to Japan you will forget all about Skylines and get wrapped up with Japanese girls!!!

Later,

AL
