I have a 1992 plymouth grand voyager and when I park and try to shift it into park from drive the shifter is almost unmoveable I have to try 3 or four times, and the time that gets it to work is the time when a tremdous amount of force is used. Any way I can fix this incredible annoying problem? By the way this has a 3.3L v6 3 speed w/overdrive transmission

try coming to complete stop before you put it in park? if your parking on incline the vehicle has tendency to rest hard against the parking pawl and if the shift cable gets bent at all it will always be hard to get out of park have had to replace a few cables !

If you have a Haynes or Chiltons look up how to adjust the shifter cable and see if that may help.

This problem happens when the car is already stopped in a parking spot, i'm not stupid enough to park it when in motion, but thanks for the answers anyway.
