A/c

Is there any way to clean out a cars entire A/C system? I dont think the refrigerant is circulating throughout the system as it should. My car is a 1989 Ford Thunderbird, and Ive recently replaced the compressor, high, and low side lines, and that big canister that connects to the low side line. the lines get extremly cold, there is even frost on the lines if the outside tempature is not to hot and humid. But inside, it barely gets cold. I was thinking maybe I have some type of clog or something. Or maybe I just have air in the system some how. Its extremly frustrating. Anyone know of anything that may help A/C performance????

Go to a local shop and have them purge / recharge your system. - that might do it.

clogged or dirty condensor? meaning the inside of the condensor or the outside? would that require getting a new condensor or is there a less expensive way in dealing with that? i'll probably have the system purged and recharged and see how that works.

probably the outside would be coated with dust or other crap, but it could be a problem with the inside too.

I'd start with the outside stuff first. Clean the condenser and evaporator fins. They might be gummed up with road junk. If that doesn't do the trick, then maybe try the inside stuff.

hey before you go replacing the condensor.Check all the outside stuff like what curtis said then you might Check your orifice tube and make sure the screen is not clogged up. The orifice tube is what seperates the high and low lines. It should be after your condensor and before you evaporator. I think your Ford uses an orifice tube not a TXV but i could be wrong.
