My brother is looking into a 92 mx3 that is a 4 cyl. Would a conversion to a v6 be a practical idea..or even possible? or is there a better conversion for money wise and power? any help would be awesome.

Sure it is possible, but can be costly and could be illegal. I know here in Quebec, Canada it is illegal to change the amount of cylinders your car has. Im not sure if it is like that everywhere but I suggest calling your DMV and especially your insurance (its a bit easier for them to tell that you swapped the motor, and more likely that they drop your insurance when they do find out).

I would suggest that you also buy a V6 donor car for parts because you will need to swap A LOT of parts to get this done. You wouldn't be the first, but IMHO it is not worth it.

Buy a V6 one from the start and swap in a KL-ZE 2.5L 200hp motor.
