painting abs plastic

I am painting the abs plastic pieces of my vehicle to do a color scheme. I used a vinyl paint and well lets just say I have some sanding ahead of me to refinish them. Can anyone recommend the type of paint best suited for this purpose. It is a black abs plastic that had a factory gray color as a topcoat. I have read that the black abs is somewhat hard to adhere to.

are these pieces on the interior or exterior of the car?

SEM makes the best paints in aerosol cans for painting plastic parts. You do need to use the primer/surfacer to keep it from bubbling.

It is interior pieces. My car is white and I am carrying the color scheme inside. Also painting the calipers w/ GS4 paint. I am working on a 1995 prix se.

be careful painting any interior pieces that reflect in the windshield light colors, as reflected light can blind you. That is why most dashes are darker colors, so the reflections don't wash out what your actually trying to see. Make sure you use wax and grease remover on all interior pieces that you wish to paint, and a light scuff with fine sandpaper to take the gloss off the factory finish.

I used a vinyl color the first time. For the most part it turned out really well but there were some spider web areas so i am going to completely sand it down and redo. I am thinking I didnt clean it agressively enough and didnt really sand it all that well.Hindsight is 20/20.
