Did I get hosed on the price here in the Washington, DC area? I just bought it. My first Mustang. Its screaming yellow with the little 40th Anniversary medal on the side but I think it is just the base model since all I have is the 6 disc CD player - no special interior trim that I can see.

The base model Mustang comes with a V6. If you check under the hood and there's a V8 then you have a GT. Also, the reason the interior trip may look plain is maybe the person who got it ordered it like that.
Also, I think the 6 disc CD player is either an option or comes standard on the GT. I think it's an option. I'm not even sure you could have got it with the V6 base model.

It used to be a rental car so it is probably not a GT.

Well first off it probably is a V6 as said by Carfax. The best way to find out though is to go out and look with your own eyes and see what you have. Just my :2cents:
Also, GT emblems can be added and removed. Besides the GT emblems for that year were replaced with the 40th anniversery emblems. If there is a GT emblem I think it'd be on the back right next to the tag.

I have automatic. The 6 disc in dash changer seems to be the only thing that is an upgrade or premium on the interior. There is not metallic trim or anything else special inside - just charcoal grey rubberized surfaces.
My question is about the price I paid.

Thanks - actually is comes up $16,310 in retail value using my zip code. On KKB.com, I checked off all the added features that I have like the multi disc player, rear spoiler, cruise control, ABS, power seat, etc.
