2000 Honda Civic Headunit Problems

I'm putting in an aftermarket Kenwood reciever and of course i didn't get a wiring harness adapter thing, so i had to cut the wires from the old radio harness. Everything was going fine and i connected black ground to my reciever then i got a voltmeter and found the correct yellow wire and hooked it up, but now i have 4 red wires for the ignition and i have tried each one and everytime i start the car it still doen't turn on. I checked the fuse on the reciever and it's good. I don' know why this thing doen't work. If anyone could give me some help that would be great. (maybe a wiring color code for 2000 Honda Civic DX would help) (of course my haynes manual doesn't have it/ i can't find it)

For starters, NEVER EVER CUT THE FACTORY HARNESS. It's not worth the $5-10 youd save, as you've found out the hard way. Are you sure that the memory and the ignition wires are correct? If you got them switched, it would cause problems.

As for the wiring diagram, You'd need to ask the 96-2000 forum about it because I don't know. I used to own one of those but I used a adapter harness. I can tell you exactly how to take the rear deck out though.
