Just saw it. That was awesome. The pilot did exactly what he should have. Give that man a raise!

there's the story. basically the planes landing gear was wack and it was perpendicular to the plane. the plane had enough fuel for a cross country trip so it couldn't land quickly enough because of all the fuel. it flew around for 3 hours wasting fuel then was able to land safely.

it was really impressive, i want to fly with that pilot from now on

If the crash would've destroyed the airport, they'd have to rename it....

Don't they have a fuel dump system? Either Airbus or jetBlue are going to be affected by this.

I think it was a lame story. The worst thing would have been the plane tipping and sliding down the runway after breaking a wing off. scary but I dont think it was a humongous story. The way they covered it after it was over disgusted me. Ooooh, flames.... wow..

I'm with Rick on this one. The pilot did what any other pilot would do so what's the big deal?
I've seen several stories like this deal with private planes. Except on those stories all of their landing gears wouldn't come down so the plane had to land on their belly. Nothing happened there so nothing with a plane with most of its wheels will blow up.

Yeah I dont get it.. I thought those planes would come with a fuel dump system incase stuff like this happend. I bet it was freaky as hell seeing this on the news while being inside the jet.
