i'm a girl, so forgive that right off the bat; i probably won't "talk" the right talk
have had my svt for one year. need new rear converter on fire wall & catalytic converter (according to one estimate & check engine light)
mechanic friend of mine told me to order online & have them put on here.
any opinions on that?
i know this is a high-performance car & i don't want to screw up anything by cutting corners.
however, if i can save a few hundred dollars by buying online & having them installed here, i'm going to do it. no brainer.
suggestions?? anyone had to do this?
my brother was previous owner & the car is in immaculate condition.
he said i need to get fixed fairly soon b4 problems set in

if your car has under 80,000 miles, you can get it replaced from ford for free.

If not under warranty, you're going to pay a small fortune for the exhaust manifolds(the cat by the firewall). You're best bet would be to gut them and buy/build a set of MIL eliminaters for the O2 sensors. The main cat can be purchased at any ford dealership. If you dont have smog tests where you live, you could also buy a test pipe from trubendz.com.
