who installled it?? thats weird i have never heard of something like that. you might have got ripped off. i install DEI alarms and they are only about 200 - 300 installed and unlock all the doors. something sounds fishy if you ask me!!

I personally can't stand car alarms. With the exception of passive security systems (one's that won't allow your car to start) car alarms are nothing but a nuisence to the people around you. I am in the navy and there are about 4 or 5 cars in the parking lot who's car alarm will go off every time a jet flies by low. In my experiance and observations 99% of the time a car alarm goes off the owner just hits the button to turn it off without even looking to see if it is a "real" alarming situation......that's just my :2cents:

Yeah, I do my best to get my exhaust "uppity" enough in a parking garage to set ppl's alarms off... good for a laugh

if you get a good alarm and it is set properly it will not go off all the time and it will work fine and not have problems if installed correctly.

well keep in mind that the truck did not come with power doors or lock....well now it has one power lock when I deactivate the door opens when I turn the key it locks me inside I also checked to see if the alarm went off when I open the passanger door even though the door did not lock to my supprise the alarm activated but the door was not locked could that be the reason???? however I still feel the door lock should be one the other side as well Im calling on monday
