Trying to remove the timing pulley on our 1996 Eagle Vision TSI (All Wheel Drive, 3.5L)
Tried a Wheel Puller but it didn't work... if we apply any more pressure the pulley will break.
Must be something we're forgetting to do... anyone know ?
(we're trying to replace the crankshaft, rod & main bearings, front & rear seals & oil pan gasket).

I'm guessing your trying to remove the crank pulley, what you'll need to do is get a 3-jaw puller that goes around the nose of the pulley and remove from there. If you try to remove it from the outer edges then like you mentioned before, you run the risk of breaking the pulley. Just out of curiosity, are you attempting to remove the crankshaft, rods & mains w/ the engine still in the car?

Thanks for the advice... got it off. Engine still in ? Nope... it's out. Almost back together now.

wasn't aware there were AWD ones, could you share some info on it?
