passat tdi lazy acceleration

hello out there can anyone help me with my car i bought the car not long ago its a passat tdi 130bhp auto transmission. the problem is when you put it in drive then push on the gas pedal the car gradually builds pressure in the engine and only takes off when it reaches 3000 revs

can somebody please help me

sounds like the transmission clutches are worn. aka time for a new transmission
