Someone knows if the Intrigue 1998 - 3800 engine is ethanol use reasy or you need to make some modifications to the engine?
I found an article about a guy in Iowa or Idaho that converted his 1990 Buick to ethanol and was brewing his own mixture.

alot of us are already using ethanol blends. I think the regular gas in WI uses 5-15% ethanol. Something to be concerned about if your gas lines are rubber (ethanol will eat rubber) or drive an older car.

to get performance out of E85, you really need to design an engine to run on it well. Need higher compression ratios etc. If you had a race type 12.5:1 (or higher) compression engine, E85 would serve it well. Maybe try it out in a dirt bike or simple single cylinder engine first.
You could try some ethanol blending like 15-30 ethanol and the rest gas in performance carbed engine and see if you like it.
