2002 Caravan - Determining original equipment???

A few days ago I bought a 2002 Caravcan from a local dealer and was told (after I realized I didn't get a keyless remote) that this particular vehicle wasn't equipment with RKE. That turned out to be a lie. Now I would like to find out exactly what equipment this van was originally equipped with without going back to the dealer. Any suggestions? Any online sources?

Call DCC 800 number and give them your vin and ask.

Thanks. I did that. They were able to tell me a couple of things I didn't know about the vehicle but were unable to tell me if the rear hatch was also controlled by the remote. The salesman had told me that this feature was discontinued because "some kid fell out". Because he's already been caught in one lie I'm not sure what to believe.

As an aside, I suggested to DCC that they should make the vehicle configurations available on-line. It would probably save them a lot of calls and cut down on the sales BS.

My 01 GC sport does not have that option, so I can't help you. I think you have to have an oh console with the necessary buttons. Good luck

Just a suggestion, list your model info, etc on the forum to give others a better sense of where you are starting from and what you are looking for

As it happens I acquired an owner's manual a couple of days ago (the extra key and remotes weren't the only thing this dealer misplaced). I also ran into a friend who has an almost identical 2002 Caravan Sport. Comparing the two along with the manual enabled me to get a better handle on what the van is equipped with so I think we're OK now. Thanks for the suggestions.
