I have a 99 eclipse gs and i was wondering if all remotes for 95-99 worked with mine. Ive found some on ebay but there we're some with different fcc id numbers. Where would i find my fcc id #? i took my car to the dealer and they said i had keyless entry i just needed the remote and they gave me the part number for mitsubishi which was mr123944.
Thanks

I was in the same situation as you. I bought a remote off of ebay, and had my neighbor who happens to work at a chrysler dealersip *borrow* the tool to program it with. I think it was just an ODB-II logger thing, but wasn't sure as I never actually saw him do it I was at work at the time.
All remotes from the 95-99 eclipse's and talons look the same. They have the 3 buttons: unlock, lock, and panic. I didn't even look at all the numbers, I went by what the thing looked like because they are all the same.
There is a way to program it yourself, it has to do with turning the key to on, acc, on.....da da da something like that. Theres a specific sequence to it. Just go to a dealer and pay the $10, if anything, to program it. Some will do it free, some will rape you for it. Good luck.

I'm not sure if the part number the dealer gave you is for the factory installed system, or a dealership installed remote system. If you do have the factory remote system, it will match this listing:

Yup, that link above shows the factory remote. Thats where I bought mine for my 98 Eclipse.
