I have a loud squeak in the right front of my 2001 Blazer. It seems to get worse when the weather gets colder. I recently had ball joints replaced, rough roads really make it squeak. Can this possibly just be a worn shock ???

I will assume that it is not a brake squeak, or a bad wheel bearing, and that it is front-end suspension related.

Ball joints need to be greased again. 11 grease fittings in your front end that have to be greased.

You have a dry ball joint or a poor quality ball joint was installed.

I agree, grease the fittings. Also, not sure if this will help but it did help me. I took white lithium grease, the spray kind, and I sprayed in bewteen the leaf springs, any metal to metal or metal to ruber or moving parts on the chassis and really quietted things down for me. But that is an option, greasing all 11 fittings is a requirement. I use Mobil all tempreture grease. Believe it or not I use the mobil low temp grease on my snowmobile, does not make a mess and stays where you put, never seems to fly off. Great product.
