Hello all!!! My p.o.s. Camaro is acting up again. When I begin to accelerate, there is a knocking nosie(clicking noise) coming from under the car towards the back. I have no idea what it is-do you guys?

Either a bad u-joint or tranny mount.

The problem is that you ain't showing your ride no love, calling it a POS no wonder it's not wanting to work for you. You gotta put as much love in as you do money...

I didn't think RWD cars had velocity joints, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought those were in FWD cars...

no, my birds driveshaft had a velocity joint in the middle, was the 97 model. Was partly the reason i broke the driveshaft.

My thoughts exactly. I haven't heard of a velosity joint other than a CV (constant velocity) joint.

That's news to me, but I haven't delt with the 4th gen drivetrain. The only thing I've seen that comes close to what you describe is a carrier bearing, used on a lot of Ford trucks to connect and support the driveshafts.

It's not a velocity joint, it's just a two piece driveshaft, most 6 cylinders have them, not all most. Plus, this isn't a 97 we're talking about here, if his 95 had the 3.8 it'd be the same but it's not, so that's like comparing apples to oranges. Anyways, velocity joints are CV axles and they are on FWD cars.

I'd have to go with the u-joint as well on this.
