I just bought a 89 jeep cherokee. Took it to get tires on it and the guys couldn't get key out the ignition isn't going all the way to the arrow where you pull the key out. Need help in getting it out without messing anything up. HELP ANYONE. Can I spray W-D around to maybe set the switch back in place? Anyone have ideas that isn't going to cost me more?

Since you just bought the Jeep, you might not be famiiar with the locking bar on the steering column that you have to push to turn the key to the key removal position. It is located just a little bit farther down the steering column from the ignition switch.
Hope that solves it...good luck!

you could spray wd40 if you like as the electrical part of the ignition switch is under the dash far down the column and is activated by a long rod.
