loud moan/wineing

everytime i hit 3 n ahlf or 4 grand in a gear something seems to wind really loud till then eventually goes away but u can kinda feel some little vibration what could it be any ideas???? something clanks to when the clutch engages in 1st threw 3rd gear ????

If you have your stock blow off valve on, they usually go bad and make a maon/hooting sound. Its your blowoff valve leaking. You definately should get it replaced, your loosing power. Thats just a guess at what your hearing.

whining? your intake. get used to it.

clanks? try shifting before 6k rpm.

mine does the same thing. ('93 VR4) sounds like a wookie. it is the BOV leaking and at 3-4k it Resonates loudly. I am saving for a greddy type S. the issue wont cause damage but you are losing a ton of power.

Yeah, if it sounds like a hooting owl, wookie, goose, whatever..it's your stock BOV. Get an aftermarket one.
