button start

i have a 93 lumina apv and id like to find out how to install a button start from the solenoid directly.the starter and solenoid are ok but the sol isnt getting power when i turn the key. electrical problem between switch and sol. thanks for any help

Hot wire the ignition switch. Read the appropriate maintance instruction manual to find the correct wires to jump the button into.

Oh, and make sure it's GROUNDED!!!

take your dash apart, under the steering column, there should be a group of thick wires, 2 of them being red, these are constant 12v, it doesnt matter which one you tie into, but tie into one, and then find then there are a few others, 2 may be pink, and a yellow, and orange I believe? In any case, the two alike ones are more than likelt accessory, One of the others is ignition, (that runs the fuel pump, injectors, etc...) and the other, is to your starter soloniod. Once you find it, tap into it, and rig a push button system to complete the 12v constant from the red wire, to that wire. Then just turn your key to run, and push the button to start.

sorry again, I'll stop. I just have some knowledge about ignition wires after installing a remote start. Now I know how (If I really wanted to) to actually hotwire a car. Do I know too much?

that gives me an idea. Just Kidding, cars nowadays have suck good security features it would be hard to steal one. I'd have to go for something older. I wont, so dont worry.
