Driver's Side CV Joint

I need to replace the CV joint on the drivers side but I am not 100% sure of how to do it. I am mechanically inclined but I have never changed one of these before. Can anyone give me some pointers and suggestions on the easiest way to do it. Any help would be great.

If I was you I would buy a Chiltons or Haynes repair manual. Probably a lot easier to read and see how it is does plaus hundreads of other useful repairs. Good luck

How do you know it needs changing?

Depending on year you could head to www.autozone.com and click into their online repair manual/I prefer buying the Chiltons as my Haynes is a POS
