window crank removal

im trying to get my inside door panel off......it cant come with the window crank on there.........how do you take the window crank off? i looked and i didnt see anything

They make a tool for that... But it is just a little metal clip that locks into a groove in the splined steel shaft. A standard screwdriver should be able to pop the clip outa the way then it just pulls off.

If you use one screwdriver, you will just push the clip around in a circle, you need to push on both tabs and it will come off.

Is there a channel that it may fit in? I'm pretty sure it originally had a clip to keep it from coming off too easily.
