Dash light problem

I recently bought a 90 Civic, DX Sedan. Everything works fine except the dashlights won't turn on, I have no idea what the problem might be, any help as to what I could do to fix this would be appreciated.

did you check your fuses? If so check the bulbs in the cluster. I am not sure what else to check but maybe someone has other options to offer.

I checked all of the fuses, figured that'd be the problem, all were working fine.

Dash lights are ran through same circuit as stereo. Make sure there aren't two wires touching together or on metal...

take it out and clean the connection, mine didnt work for like 2 years...so one day i got pissed took it out wiped some gunk off looked at it some and put it all back togather..it works fine now.
