alright this is the thing..
My step dad just got an f-150 and he swears its hot shit...
He wants to race me but only if i putt up 100..
Its all stock as is my camaro 3.4L
he says my lil 6 will be eatin alive by his v8
is it possible that he woyuld beat me?
i mean 100 bucks isnt somethin i want to hand over to my step dad

We'll it depends i guess. Is your car stick or auto? It may determine who the winner maybe, unless yours pops trucks is a lighting.

I'm pretty sure you will lose (assuming he can speed shift pretty good). Not by a ton, but you will lose. save the money and race anyway.... let us know the results.

Shoot I've been beaten by a neon when my 3.4 was stock. I'm pretty sure that F150 would eat you alive.

I beg to differ, i see stock F-150's running in the 17sec range at the strip. a 3.4 is a mid 16sec car. I say go for it and take his money, and send me half.

Eh, I wouldn't do it. My dads silvy 1500 with the 4.8 v8 is pretty quick. They do have a governer though, and the chevys are limited at 98 MPHI believe. They are(obviously)heaver by quite a bit, but v6 to v8, it would be close.

I think it would depend on what year the f-150 is and what engine it has in it. I would race my dad's f-150 but that's cause it has a 302 in it and those trucks are built for low end not top speed. Now the new F-150s I might shy away from.

A governor physically limits speed. His truck is limited by the ecm. But that's just semantics.

Here's what you do... Take your $100.00 and go buy a cheesesteak, some beer and a rubber. Race him 3 times, and regardless of who wins when it's all over, pull over in the driveway, open a beer and the cheesesteak, and when he asks you for the $100.... you say "Look you beat me fair and square and you're probably real proud of yourself and happy so take this rubber... I'll let you F my mom as your celebration." And when he asks about the money, you can tell him you spent it on cheesesteaks and beer so you didn't have to listen to him and your mom going apeshit because he thinks he's hotshit he beat his step son in a race.

i wouldnt be to surprised if ya beat him. f-150's weigh a huge amount. Plus if he leaves the tool box in and its full of heavy tools.... Im not saying make the bet. But id say you have a fair chance if your car is running well. It also depends on what size v-8 he has. i think theres the 4.6 and then the 5.2 if im not mistaken.
