Engine Detailing

I was looking at my dirty brown upper plenum a couple days ago and thought "man my engine would look really sharp if that wasn't a dirty brown color."
I pulled er off and sandblasted the thing (pictures to come) and it looks amazing... the original brushed aluminum finish from the factory looks sharp. So now I want to paint it. I'm wondering, I've seen sprays that'll handle up to 500C; do I need to use something like that, or even powder coat it, or would you guys recommend something completely different?

Hi Tempature Engine paint should work fine on your intake, You could also just use Hi temp clear over the sandblasted aluminum, it will stay nice for years.

Yeah I saw some high temp clear coat and thought about it, but I remember seeing a picture on here of someones engine (forget whose) that had orange wires and some other detailing done. Looked sharp.

the ornge loom, putting words in rliths mouth, but those were bought that way, dont try painting your loom, it doesnt work right and wont look right, you buy the color you want and re do the engin bay with it, hi temp paint for the hot stuff under the moter ie the few things gm made out of accual metal, and regular paint will work on all that genuine plastic

Not much, more agressive cam, port and polished heads, ecm reprogram... That's about it. It came out of a 99 escalade.

Yeah the brake booster top is one of my favorite pieces. I'm thinking as well of getting some braided aluminum. How much did yours cost Rlith?

Cleaned it with all prep, primed it with an epoxy based primer with 25% reducer, then painted with GM red with flexative added then cleared.
