My 88 Ford rager 2.9 runs ruff when its wet or damp out. It sputters and sounds like it is miss fireing and and has a loss of power. when it is hot out it runs good. I changed the plugs, wires and distributer with no effect. Others have had the same problems. Can any one help?

you may have moisture condensating inside your distributor cap, causing the spark inside to arc, which causes the engine to misfire... take off the distributor cap and spray the entire inside of the cap with wd/40 or silicone spray... don't wipe any of it out, put it on when it's still wet... it will leave a residue coating inside your distributor cap that will keep any moisture from condensating, thus eliminating your problems... these products are non conductive of electricity and will displace any moisture from condensating thereafter, if done as stated... you can, also, spray the inside of your spark plug rubber boots, too, and re-install them on your spark plugs, thus eliminating any moisture from causing your plugs to short out from moisture condensation... good luck, it works...
