I have an 89 convertable and when I turn my key to accessory the lights go dim. When I try to turn it more to start it, everything gets even dimmer and my alarm goes off and the car won't start. I'm thinking some sort of short maybe ignition????. :banghead: I've checked fuses can't find any loose or corroded wires.... help please.

errr ummm...im sure you checked the battery. Check the terminlas for corrosion and even if none is visible clean the posts and connectors down to shiney some shiney lead. Sometimes it the most simple things...hope this works for ya!

I Have To Agree With The Other Guy. But Wanted Add That The Conection From The Wire Its Self To The Part That Clamps Oto The Post. Plus If You Have Amps And Stuff, After Market Radios, Extra Lights, So On Turn That Stuff Off And Try It. Good Luck.
