Thinking about this RAM hood, some questions...

I am in need of a new hood from a recent accident, so i thought i should just get the style hood ive been wanting for awile anyway.
I was looking at this RAM hood from hawks:
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=837
It says it needs the special airbox to function, does that mean it wont fit on the car with the regular air filter on, or it wont cool properly?
Also, is there somewhere else i might be able to find a cheaper box (under $210) I noticed hawks doesnt usualy have the greatest prices...

Lastly, most important, this is a 92 RS, it says these boxes are usualy made for LTI's will a box like this fit on my 92 RS?

And also, is it worth the $400 for the hood, and the $200ish for the special box? Will i notice anything in preformance or anything?

Thanks a lot guys.

The airbox that it needs is for the hood to actually do something aside from just be a hood. The special airbox or whatever for $200 isnt worth it, just get a cold air intake and it would be the same (Someone correct me on this if im wrong)

I don't know anything about the air box or anything, but DAMN that hood makes that car look MEAN. That is one of the best looking third gens I've ever seen.

Ok, so the hood will still fit on the car with my air filder on there currently? (the circular stack type deal) Im just worried its sticking up to high or something and wont fit? (Its stock) and i cant find any pictures of the hood on the under side to be sure it will fit.
So i wont notice any improvements with this hood from ym stock hood? (engine running cooler, etc) ?

Important again:
I also like this hood:

What exactly does "bolt on" mean, are they talking about the hoods that are just held on with the 4 clips or whatever, or does this hood attach to my latches like a normal hood and open up like regular? (thats what im looking for)
So basicly, wtf does bolt on mean? lol

I'd have to assume they mean it's a direct replacement hood. It won't make your engine run cooler, but it would provide cooler air to your engine. Cooler air = denser air = more O2 per square in. = better combustion.

I would guess that its just the hood alone and you'd have to take off the other hood from the struts or whatever you want to call them then put it on the original one.

You'd also need to do some fairly extensive fabricating to get the ram air box plumbed into your throttle body setup.

Yeah im getting a cowl hood too, just cause I think it would look a hella lot better on the Camaro.

So, finally ive come to the conclusion of this:
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=10105

What do you guys think? It should just bolt right on and i should have no problems fitting it onto everything of a 92 RS correct?

Im not really fond of the style of the ram hood, and im not even sure if it will fit correctly with the current setup i have (no ram air box)

Question about the cowl hood, this is perfectly legal to have a 4" cowl hood in the US right? Somebody was telling me its obstruction of view or something, but i think thats just becuase they didnt want me getting it for some odd reason.

Yuck.

Doesn't fit the lines of the car in my opinion. I am yet to see a WS.6 style hood that looks good on any other car but the 98+ 4th gen Trans Am.

Yuck.
I'm with Luos. It should fit just fine, but I think it will detract from the look of your car.

Yeah Mr. Luos is right about this no third gen looks good with a WS.6 hood, it only looks good on a 4th gen Firebird and thats it.

What do you guys think?

Good choice I say

The other one makes the car look like it has a pig nose. (no offense to Firebird owners)

Yes, i am thinking it is a bit large, the 4" cowl hood (note i have decided on the 4" cowl hood now, the RAM style is no longer part of the topic)

Still nobody has a positive answer on what "bolt on" is referring to? Guessing they are just saying it "bolts right on" the all the existing stuff?

bolt on means that it is already fabricated to bolt up to your old hinges latch etc...

DeusEx

Spoiler, ground effects, same thing....
There are 2 spoilers on the camaro, the front one, under the bumpber, made from fiberglass, or something more towards the plastic side, and the rear one ontop of the hatch.. so i guess you are missing something.
