ok heres my story. i bought this car a few days ago. everything seems to work fine on it. i installed my stereo and amp/sub to it(using original dash wiring), no problems. 2 days later...
i am driving down the road, and come to a stop sign. when i stopped, my stereo shut off. i figured my fuse blew out, not a problem. so i get home and turn the car off. before i even open the door my chimes start ringing. i look up and all of my interior lights are on. i opened and shut all the doors and the trunk to see if that would help. still ringing. keys are out of the vehicle. so i take the chime fuse out. then i checked my radio fuse and it is fine. i pulled the stereo out and checked the fuse on the back, its good. i checked my amp and it still had remote power when i turned the ignition to acc or on. so after messing with it for a while, i find that my constant 12v wire in the harness has no power at all. i change some wiring around and hook all of them to the switched 12v wire, works fine. none of this is really a problem since i just ran a new constant 12v power wire from the fuse to the stereo and it is working like it should again. but the issue is mostly with the chimes. i can do without them too, but they are on the same circuit as my interior lights. (all other lights, inside and outside work fine.) everything is working fine, except these will not shut off unless i pull the fuse out. is there a relay somewhere that these may run on or another switch that might have gone bad? i checked the wiring at the brake lights too just to be sure it wasnt shorted out since this all started when i stopped and lost stereo power. by the way, the 12v constant from the stereo is not hooked up to the circuit with the lights and chimes, i checked that too

any ideas on where i should start from here?

thanks everyone.
