F*CK me winter is like 2 months away...not even.. Here on LI, NY we don't get like 5+ft like some parts of connecticut...but still it sucks ass :banghead: .
I remember last winter, getting stuck behind my apt building (parking lot) cause LITERALLY no one SHOVELS back there.. :uhoh: It's just me and my bro.. Everyone else is either old or mentally f*cked...seriously. My car doesnt help either, rwd v8 thunderbird with 10% tread left in the rear..lol. :eek7:
The road salt....no being able to wash my car...the cold...the cold showers (my apt building sucks)...no heat sometimes....the bones aching... :disappoin
Hopefully this winter wont be to bad though, cause the last 2 where HORRIBLE.. Just last winter we got a couple storms of like 20 inches..back to back..
PS, nothing is worse then having a job...and they WANT you there...it's like "snow, ah..that's no excuse"...FUCK YOU....forgot the star that time.. :cwm27:

I totally agree, i loathe winter...after i'm done with school, i'm gettin the hell out of minnesota to somewhere hot, even it had hurricanes, at least it would have color during winter.....it's basically brown, white, and gray all winter....:(

LI, NY winters = uber suckage. :( You HAVE to drive to get ANYWHERE, but you also have to shovel for like 30 minutes in the morning and pray you don't lose control of your RWD car. I don't even have a limited slip!

The problem with winter here in Wyoming is that it refuses to let go until the end of May. We did get snow in the middle of June this year.

i live in alaska. beat that, guys. except lamehonda. i think you have it worse than me. when do you START getting snow, though? and yeah, winter = depression. especially in alaska when we get down to about 7.5 hours of sunlight a day. i remember getting up at 630 to go to school at 730 and it was still dark. and then coming home at 3 and the sun was just beginning to set. this winter shouldnt be too bad though, i plan on learning how to snowboard and go snowmachining A LOT.
i still think it's funny to see people say "snowmobile" :lol2:

We can get our first snow anytime now. It is very dry here in Worland. When it snows here in the fall we have a party. If it was wet here, it would be all snow by the beginning of October. As it is, we usually don't get very much until after christmas and it really ramps up in March. I just finished my B.S. in Finance and have been trying to get a job in Alaska. If that doesn't work, I'm gonna try to go to Fairbanks and get a meteorology degree.
Fairbanks is a real winter hell :)

Here in Houston we don't really experience winter per-say, it's more of a cold Fall. But I love winter, but I won't be wearing any long sleeve stuff until November I'm guessing. But I could only imagine how much a real nasty winter would be. But I wish our winters here were longer than they are.

I'll trade places with ya. It's only a few hours north and west (Central NY.) On the average, we get anywhere from 10 to 15 FEET of snow a season that usually runs from October to May. (It's hard watching the little kids trick or treating in winter coats.LOL.) Coming off two hard years of winter weather, this year doesn't look any better. This hot summer has warmed the Great Lakes more than usual, and that spells out extra lake effect snow for those of us downwind of the lakes. Come up here for a winter and see how it is and you'll gain a new perspective on your own winter weather on LI.

I thought snowmachines were those vehicles you see in the movies where it snows a lot. It has bulldozer like tracks, or 6 wheels. There was a machine like that in the Stephen King movie "The Shining." That's what I thought the post was referring to.
