Anyone have one of these? If so, how do you tune yours? Shift points, firmness, etc...
Also, which programmer is the best? I've heard good and bad about Hypertech as well as Superchips.

If you are going Whipple get a custom tune. Most hand held can not go where you want to go in the modification charts. I think you know who I will recommend, the changes in the future will be free and he has done many programs for the mods you have done and are going to do.....
The cost of a hand held is the same as a custom... No brainer there :screwy: !!!

:iagree:
I currently use Hypertech
87 octane
shift firmness: on
1-2 +6mph
2-3 +5mph
3-4 +3mph
Rev limiter 5900rpm
speed limiter 128mph
tire size adjusted
I like the tuner, but am going to go with Nelson as soon as I get off my ass.... As far as Hypertech and superchips, they are just about the same.... I have heard that the only way to use a superchip tuner on another vehicle is to send it in for a $200 charge, while the hypertech only needs to be reset to factory settings.....

Not true, for the record.
I was just wondering if anyone else had the superchips tuner. I have it on my 4.8 and i have the firmness up and shift points up all the way. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on where to set the points (fyi superchips doesn't use + or - mph, just a Min ****Stock****Max chart) :banghead:

The SuperChips (which I have and like very much) stores the trucks stock program in it's memory and transfers it's custom program to the truck there by locking the programmer to that truck. All you have to do to unlock it is the plug it back in and return the truck back to stock. If you bought one off eBay or somewhere that was locked then you would have a problem. I think SuperChips is giving people the old bend over treatment when they charge so much to return a programmer to stock.

I have Nelson..You'll love it. Much more power than handhelo tuner.
Now for a random question. Does anyone have a Crane Cam tuner? I've seen them advertised and they look kinda badass.
